The Central Penn Business Journal (CPBJ) has selected Alexander Cistone ’07, a Delaware Valley University alumnus, for its 2015 Forty Under 40 Class. Cistone, age 30, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, is a managing partner of Kirton & Sullivan, LLC dba U.S. Lawns of York and Adams.

At DelVal, Cistone majored in ornamental horticulture and environmental design (an academic program, which was offered before DelVal's current major, landscape design/build) with a concentration in landscape contracting and management. He oversees the crews, sales and general business of the company. As an active community member, he serves on the boards of the Exchange Club of Hanover and The Spring Grove Chamber of Commerce. His company donates to PINK OUT, a breast cancer foundation, and other local charitable causes.

“I’m honored to be part of the 2015 class,” said Cistone. “Getting to know the other professionals has been inspiring and fun. We have all had challenges and successes. And each one of us has a number of people that have supported, encouraged, and molded us along the way.”

Members are chosen for both their professional accomplishments and their commitment to giving back.

“We have an independent panel of judges that goes through the nominations and picks the top 40,” said Jill Caldwell, a CPBJ event coordinator. “Members of the class are people who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the community as well as excellence in their lines of business.”

To highlight and recognize the class of 2015, the CPBJ is having an awards celebration on Monday, Oct. 12 at The Hilton Harrisburg. In addition to the awards celebration, the CPBJ is publishing a special supplement that will profile all winners, be distributed at the event, and inserted into the Oct. 16 edition of the Central Penn Business Journal. This publication will also be available online at the Central Penn Business Journal website.
