Prior to joining the faculty of Delaware Valley University in 1996, Jeff Young taught full-time at both Louisiana State University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. At DelVal, he regularly teaches courses in fundamentals of algebra, college algebra, elementary functions and calculus. Other courses include linear algebra, modern algebra and number theory, and mathematics seminar.
He also coordinates the mathematics assessment testing, serves on several university committees and has been a member of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for more than 15 years. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, making molded chocolates and visiting theme parks to ride roller coasters.
