Delaware Valley University’s graduate program in education has added three new specializations!

Special Education Add-On Certification

In response to the increasing demand for certified special education teachers, we offer a program that enables certified teachers in Pennsylvania to add special education PreK-8 or 7-12 to their certification. We integrate practical, classroom-based experiences with coursework developed and taught by local special education experts. Both coursework and practicum experience help make you more marketable as you pursue employment as a special educator in Pennsylvania public schools.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement

(PA Department of Education Endorsement)

The rapid increase in autism spectrum disorder diagnoses has created a strong demand for skilled teachers and educational support professionals to serve this population of school-age children. Our new endorsement uses the most up-to-date research on neurological implications and instructional strategies – just one of the many aspects of the DelVal program that separate it from others. Our graduate adjunct professors are practitioners in the field who prepare you for the demands of today’s classrooms.
